Nortech Platform​

The Nortech platform is separated into the Edge and Cloud domains.

Edge Platform​

The Edge platform runs software on a Device connected to your equipment, capable of:

  • Connecting to your equipment data output connections and extract all relevant data;
  • Decode the data connection protocols into human readable data;
  • Send the human readable data into the Nortech Cloud in a secure and efficient way;
  • Send the human readable data into your system in a secure and efficient way;
  • Store the data in a local database which can be interacted with via local API’s and User Interfaces;
  • Use AI models to generate new streams of data (virtual sensors) on the edge, using the collected data.

Cloud Platform​

The Cloud platform is responsible for collecting, aggregating and storing the data from all of your Devices. This allows you to access your data outside of your device’s local network. Additionally, it provides:

  • Data storage;
  • Virtual sensors;
  • User Interfaces (UI);
  • Application Programming Interfaces (API);
